Shooting preparation:

Our photo-shoot is not only a memorable and unique recording of your loved one, but also a very joyful experience for you.  If you approach with the right attitude on the matter, your pet will also be relaxed and it won't be a bad experience for him/her.

We know that the shooting can be stressful for your pet and that it may even have to do a long trip inside a transport cage, that is why it's very important for us to turn the shooting into a positive experience for you and your beloved one. To make this possible please note that:

• Your pet should be HEALTHY. If your pet doesn´t feel good you should change the date of the photo-shoot until he has recovered.
• Vaccinations should not be made 1-2 days before the shooting. They can be made at my partner's veterinary clinic.

• If you want you can bring a brush to brush the hairs from your clothing.
• Think about specific image requests. Other photographer's images or styles can be used to inspire but won´t be copied.  
• Don't worry if you don't have any ideas or preferences. From my rich experience I will conjure up something suitable.


Especially for dogs:
• Before the photo session we recommend you DONT feed your pet before the photo shoot as it could make him/her feel sick because of the movement or excitement.
• Please let puppies relax before the shooting, as this will be enough excitement for the day.
• Energetic dogs should have a walk before the shooting in the studio. Otherwise they won't sit still with the new environment in the studio atmosphere. For some dogs, a studio shooting is completely unsuitable. If it is the case, the shooting will be cancelled and you won't have to pay.
• Think about having enought to DRINK for you and your pet, specially in long outdoor shootings.
• Please bring TOYS,TREATS and possibly a FAVOURITE BALL for motion capture in outdoors, although, if necessary, I have some in my studio. Also bring items for a desired composition.
• Practice the "Stay" command before the shooting, it will be a great help! The command "Drop head" is always a good thing for beautiful image recordings. It is not a must, but if you have time and inclination, you can practice a little! It's going to be worth it.


Especially for cats:
• The same as with dogs: before the photo session please do not let your pet eat,  before the shooting.
• In the studio we always have toys, but of course you can also bring your kittie's favorite toy.
• You can also bring your cat's favorite blanket or basket, so that he/she has something "Familiar" around.

Especially for horses:
 Of course, your horse should be spotless. Please be careful with gloss spray for fur, it can cause stains if it is applied too close and it also becomes very slippery for bareback riding pictures!
• Apart from a friend who can possibly help (in motion pictures it's highly recommended to bring 1-2 people along), you should have a bucket with some  treats , a plastic bag and a stick / lunge line with you. This will help us get their attention.
• You can also download an animal sound app with horse noises, it works fairly well.
• Bring several head-collar ( for example a bridle, rope-collar, etc.)
• You are also welcome to bring several outfits so we can get different images and not everything looks the same! Please note that you will possibly also have to change yourself (due to heat, dirt, etc..)

      Abort shooting
No one can say in advance how your pet will feel at the photo shoot.

In addition, the owners often do not know if his loved one will start exploring the studio, participating and being curious or if he will just be sitting nervously on the table and looking anxiously to the camera. Of course, each animal needs a proper warm-up time in the studio. Here is always a special flair, plenty of calmness and patience and, of course, positive reinforcement and support together with the owner!

I have alot of patience working with baby animals also.  It is rare, but it could happen that it is not possible to do a shooting. I always focus on the animal's welfare.

What is not possible shouldn´t be forced!

I usually only cancel a shooting if the animal looks too stressed, anxious or sick. This is very important to me and a matter of respect to every creature.
If a shooting is cancelled before enough beautiful photos were taken, then of course I won't charge you anything!
For us the most important thing is always the animal's welfare. If you are not sure whether your pet will deal with the stress of the studio shoot, don´t worry. You can just come and we will try it together!
